EXHIBIT : MIRIAM GRENVILLE
Miriam Grenville is both a textile designer and an artist. Her work questions a number of timely issues in a dynamic, yet playful way: the role of money, violence in children’s playthings, and what is lost in instant communication. She lives and works in the west end of Toronto.
Artist Biography: Miriam Grenville graduated from OCA with honours in Textile Design. She has worked in the commercial wall covering industry, as well as pursuing an artistic practice. In 2004 she began experimenting with large format digital print, which lead her to collaborations with Bruno Billio at the Gladstone Hotel as well as commercial projects for Tridel and Taboo Resort. Her work has been shown at the Ontario Craft Council Gallery, The Rooms Provincial Art Gallery, and featured in many publications, as well as on HGTV.
